The Fnord 120 brings dual core AMD Opteron power to the 1U format, for use in colocated front-end Linux / FreeBSD applications or computational clusters.

Each of the two AMD Opteron processors has its own 128-bit wide, dual interleaved memory bus, and communicates directly with the memory without need for a external "North Bridge" chipset. One PCI slot running at 64-bit/133 MHz is available for expansion, and there are two Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet interfaces on the motherboard.

You can mix and match any number of hard drives in a custom server. Base models come with one hard drive, with a variety of Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 and 7200.10 units priced separately. If speed is more important than capacity, servers are also available with 15,000 rpm Seagate 15K.4 Ultra320 SCSI hard drives.
